St Johns RIVERKEEPER recently hosted a State of the Watershed event to inform and engage our river community.

Lisa Rinaman, our St. Johns Riverkeeper, provided an important update on the St. Johns River: its current health, the challenges it faces, and the real solutions that give us hope for its future. We were reminded that none of this work to address the threats to our river can happen without people like you showing up, staying informed, and being engaged.

Remembering Tommy Davis

Before the presentation, we were honored to recognize the memory of Tommy Davis and pay tribute to the first responders whose dedication and compassion guided the search efforts. In gratitude for their service and in remembrance of Tommy, we began the event with a special acknowledgment of these individuals and an announcement of two major gifts to support our education programs and boat trips.

Moving Forward, Together

The St. Johns River needs advocates, and you are one of them. As we move forward from Earth Month, we hope you’ll carry that commitment with you – together, we are the voice for the river. Spread the word, volunteer, or simply share your love of the river with someone new. Take the pledge to be a champion for our river!
