EcoCruises

Join a St. Johns Riverkeeper Educator on board the St. Johns River Taxi!

Learn about your St. Johns River and ways you can help protect it.

Please note: The St. Johns is an exciting river! Even though our essential theme of river knowledge stays the same, different issues and events affect the river on a daily basis. For example, if we spot a dolphin pod, we may focus on dolphins for a portion of our program.

  • In order to secure spots for a particular time, payment must be made through the St. Johns River Water Taxi. (COMING SOON!)
  • Parent(s) must accompany their child(ren).
  • Refunds or exchanges will not be given to late or no-show groups. Ticket exchange is available up to the discretion of a St. Johns Riverkeeper Educator and boat capacity.
  • Trips will occur rain or shine unless dangerous conditions are forecast. If a trip is to be cancelled, we will notify you the day before via email. All purchased tickets will be honored on a future trip as long as there is space available (registration required).
  • The St. Johns River Taxi is a U.S. Coast Guard inspected vessel with a licensed captain; it is equipped with Type II lifejackets for the capacity of the vessel. Type III lifejackets are not required to be worn but are available upon request.

Participant Feedback

Bartram Ixia Hike – “This was a wonderful, extremely well organized, and very informative program. The living historian brought the ecological significance of the land around the river to life and the hike guide was extremely knowledgeable but great at meeting the group where they were as well. So impressed! Phenomenal program that was both entertaining and educational. We hope you all continue to offer this type of programming and definitely will attend more when our schedule allows it.”
