Earth Day is coming up on April 22! We have compiled a list of activities happening throughout the watershed, so you can get out there and show your love for Mother Earth!
Did you know that Earth Day was first observed on April 22, 1970 and an estimated 20 million people nationwide attended events held throughout the country? That was about 10% of the entire population of the United States at the time!
While we may not see that kind of one day turnout again, we can collectively have an even greater impact by showing up for our river and our planet throughout the year. So, attend an upcoming Earth Month event, take the River Friendly pledge, and learn how you can take action in your daily lives to protect our environment and the St. Johns. Make everyday Earth Day!
