The last few days have been agonizing, as we see more and more images and videos of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Helene.
To make it easier to know how you can help, we have complied information about some of the reputable organizations providing aid and resources to the communities impacted by the storm.
Help our fellow environmental nonprofits, including the French Broad Riverkeeper, clean up and restore the waterways in the North Carolina area by donating to MountainTrue.
If you or a loved one has been impacted by the storm, check out this story map created by the Savannah Riverkeeper, intended to help the Southeast access the resources they need for recovery and ongoing disaster effects. It includes layers that show flooding, hospitals, shelters and more.
