Art and Nature Walk: Blue Cypress Park

April 4 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Art and Nature Walk

Art and Nature Walk | Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Blue Cypress Park

Feeling overwhelmed and disconnected? Taking a moment to immerse yourself in nature and tap into your creativity may help!

Nature journaling allows us to focus our attention and appreciate the beauty in natural things. Using all five senses, nature journaling and making art help us connect with nature, sooth our nervous systems, and foster curiosity about the nature we are a part of.

Join us at Blue Cypress Preserve Park for a leisurely hike and nature journaling exercise. You don’t have to be a good artist to enjoy nature journaling! The goal is to slow down, take a breath, and observe and appreciate the natural systems around us.

Supplies

Please bring a notebook or journal, a pencil, and any other supplies you may want like colored pencils, crayons, or markers. Keep in mind you will need to easily carry them on the trail.

If you feel so inclined after the event, take your artistic practice to the next step and share your project with us! We can share it out on our social media and future event promotion.

Directions

We will meet at the start of the boardwalk at the back of the park. Please enter the park from the main entrance off of University (not the community center entrance) and follow the road all the way back past the golf course to the small parking lot in front of the boardwalk.

Register

This is a free event, but registration is required as space is limited.
