Climate Week with the City of Jacksonville | October 6-12
Monday, October 6: Climate Kick-off at City Hall – 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Jacksonville City Hall atrium
Join the City of Jacksonville, Volo Foundation, and St. Johns Riverkeeper to kick off Climate Week! Hear from Mayor Deegan, Sustainability Director Green, Volo Foundation, and St. Johns Riverkeeper at City Hall for the Climate Week proclamation and presentation. Walk around to visit booths and learn from eco-minded organizations, and participate in the raffle!
Wednesday, October 8: Resilient Ribault Boat Tour | 12-1 p.m. | Bert Maxwell Boat Ramp
Celebrate Florida Climate Week with a river cruise on the Ribault River. This sunset boat tour will be the perfect way to show Northside Pride with a friend! Learn about the wildlife along the Ribault River and the fishing community that has lived along these shores for decades.
Your hosts will help you discover a newfound appreciation for Jacksonville’s Northside and nature. This boat tour is where conservation meets culture. Explore the St. Johns watershed with Northside Pride, St. Johns Riverkeeper, and Jacksonville University.
Friday, October 10: ECO Disco | 6-9 p.m. | James Weldon Johnson Park
DJ Mas Appeal and Friends of James Weldon Johnson Park are throwing a silent disco! Come listen to music, climate storytelling, PSA’s and more. Visit with eco-minded vendors and enjoy sustainable, vegan-friendly food.
Saturday, October 11: UNFILTERED – The Truth About Oysters Film Screening | Noon | MOCA Jax
UNFILTERED: The Truth About Oysters is an Emmy award-winning documentary film that explores the oyster’s role both in our world and its own.
After The Film: Join the conversation with our panelists locally who are utilizing the power of oysters to help filter the St. Johns River.

Meet at the nature center to go on the first guided nature walk in a monthly series with naturalist education on local ecology, climate resilience, and wellness.
