SOLD OUT: Dragon Boat Paddle to Exchange Island | Saturday, July 26 from 8:45-11:30 a.m. starting from Arlington Marina

Learn the basics of paddling on a dragon boat, and paddle with us out to Exchange Island! The morning will start with a brief instruction on proper paddle technique and safety. Then we will shove off the doc and paddle over to Exchange Island. You will have time to explore the island and learn about it’s history, while enjoying the beauty of the St. Johns River. We will then paddle back to the marina to finish the adventure.

What You Need to Know

• Event begins at Arlington Marina (5137 Arlington Rd) , just north of the public boat ramp (look for the flag). Duval Dragons team members will help you park in the lot just outside the property, at the corner of River Bluff Rd. N and Arlington Road.
• Please bring a full, reusable water bottle.
• Wear comfortable, athletic clothes you don’t mind getting wet. Cotton is okay, but dry-fit (polyester) clothes are better. (Check out SJRK’s sun hoodie!)
• Related, shoes you don’t mind getting wet are best (sandals, water shoes, etc.).
• Please arrive around 8:45 for a 9:15 “shove” from the dock.
