Ribault River Evening Cruise | Thursday, August 29 from 5:30-7 p.m. | Bert Maxwell Boat Ramp
Join us on the Ribault River as we explore this hidden gem of Jacksonville’s waterways. Hop aboard Jacksonville University’s research vessel, the Larkin, with St. Johns Riverkeeper to learn more about the Resilient Ribault project as well as the ecological treasures this waterway supports. Catch the beginnings of the sunset as we cruise down this beautiful river.
The Ribault River has abundant grass beds that serve as critical nurseries for fish, plus areas for nature viewing, birdwatching, and fishing. There is a plethora of wildlife in the area such as the Northern Cardinal, Red Winged Black Bird, Eastern Bluebird, and Northern Mockingbird. The plant life is diverse with different species such as Alligatorweed, Pontederia Crassipes, and Parrot Feather Watermilfoil. The Ribault River is full of natural beauty, amenities and cultural heritage.
