Brewing Up Solutions: Renew Jax
May 9, 2023 @ 6:00 pm
Tuesday, May 9 at 6 p.m. at Bold City Brewery Warehouse (2670-7 Rosselle Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204)
Join us as Lisa Rinaman, the St. Johns Riverkeeper, Logan Cross, chair of the Northeast Florida Sierra Club, and Scott Dye, a sustainability professional, discuss Renew Jax, the Sierra Club’s ongoing campaign seeking a commitment from the City of Jacksonville and JEA to utilize 100% renewable energy by 2050.
Sierra Club’s Logan Cross will provide an update about progress made, obstacles faced and how we can take action.
12 other Florida cities have already committed to power all of their municipal operations, businesses, and homes with renewable energy on or before 2050. The Sierra Club has demonstrated why Jacksonville and JEA should also make this commitment and how it will potentially benefit ratepayers. We’ll talk about how JEA is responding and how you can help.
This is the first in our 2023 series of brewery conversations exploring solutions to climate change, sea level rise, and the pollution problems threatening the health of our river and our communities. Brought to you by St. Johns Riverkeeper’s Water Policy Group.
