Walk For The Water
November 26, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Join the Rights Of Water, Florida Right to Clean Water, and our Middle Basin Coordinator for a ‘Walk For The Water’ at Volusia Blue Springs! Allow time at the Park entrance fee station. We will meet at the lower parking area pavilion near the St Johns River, adjacent to the bathroom building at 9 a.m. We will have a discussion about the River, the Waters, current efforts and concerns, along with our respect and responsibility for sustaining our waters. Everyone is invited to share a short story, phrase, or poem that connects you to the Earth and Waters. We will then do a leisurely walk on the boardwalk all the way to the ‘head spring,’ stopping at the viewing platforms along the way to view manatee and other wildlife. We hope to walk back with ‘inspiration and intention’ and meet again for a short discussion and snacks at the pavilion. All belief systems will be welcome as well as all ages and all creatures.
(total walk less than 1 mile)
The Paddling Pilgrimage was cancelled due to flood conditions after Hurricanes Ian and Nicole.
