The Stetson Kennedy Foundation and St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department invite you to participate in the annual River Blessing at Alpine Groves Park on Saturday, January 29 from 9-11 a.m.

The River Blessing first started in 2008 with an elder of the Lakota Nation who visited Florida. This event is intended to be a spiritual but non-religious experience to honor the water of earth, who all life depends on. The Riverkeepers of the St. Johns, Matanzas and St Marys will speak about their connection to these Florida rivers. Representatives of the Santa Fe and the Florida aquifer will also join and offer more inspirational words.
