Lit Chat with Camille Dungy: In Partnership with the Jacksonville Public Library and LISC Jacksonville

This Lit Chat Interview is a 60-minute program consisting of a 40-minute conversation between author Camille Dungy and interviewer Nikesha Elise Williams followed by 20 minutes of audience Q&A. A book signing will follow, with books available for sale on site.

Join us for a chat with author and poet Camille Dungy! Camille’s newest book is Soil: The Story of a Black Mother’s Garden. Camille will be in conversation with local author Nikesha Elise Williams.

About the Author

Camille T. Dungy is the author of Soil: The Story of a Black Mother’s Garden. Dungy has published four books of poetry and edited three anthologies, including Black Nature: Four Centuries of African American Nature Poetry. Her honors include the 2021 Academy of American Poets Fellowship, a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Colorado Book Award, and an American Book Award. She is a University Distinguished Professor at Colorado State University.
