Riverview Park Service Day

February 14 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Riverview Park cleanup

Riverview Park Service Day | Saturday, February 14 | 9-11 a.m. | Riverview Park (9620 East Water Street)

Join St. Johns Riverkeeper for our regular day of service at Riverview Park on the Trout River. As Riverview Park’s Official Park Stewards, this is part of an ongoing effort to improve and maintain this important community resource connecting locals to our river on Jacksonville’s northside.

Volunteers can expect to collect litter, clear trails, catalog and/or remove invasive plants, and more as needed! Cleanup bags, gloves and grabbers will be provided.

Useful Items to Bring:

  • FULL reusable water bottle
  • Closed-toe shoes (Required. We HIGHLY recommend wearing rain boots! This park is prone to flooding and general sogginess.)
  • Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses)
  • Bug spray
  • Work/gardening gloves (cleanup gloves will be provided)
  • Small garden tools (trowels, shovels, etc.)

Please register to let us know you’ll be joining us so we can plan accordingly.

  • Make sure trash bags are not too full to close and secure.
  • Keep tires separate from the trash bags.

Resilient Ribault

The Resilient Ribault initiative is a community-driven effort led by St. Johns Riverkeeper & LISC Jacksonville to protect and restore the Ribault River and the neighborhoods that call it home. At Riverview Park, volunteers play a vital role in caring for one of the most important public access points to the river—supporting clean water, healthy habitats, and safe, welcoming spaces for recreation and learning.

Through hands-on volunteer opportunities, Resilient Ribault connects residents, partners, and local leaders to nature-based solutions like shoreline stewardship, litter prevention, habitat enhancement, and community education. Every hour you give helps strengthen river health, build neighborhood resilience, and ensure the Trout River remains a resource for generations to come.

Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a returning steward of the river, your participation at Riverview Park directly supports environmental justice, climate resilience, and community pride in Northwest Jacksonville.
