As Riverview Park’s Official Park Stewards\, this is part of an ongoing effort to improve and maintain this important community resource connecting locals to our river on Jacksonville’s northside. \nVolunteers can expect to collect litter\, clear trails\, catalog and/or remove invasive plants\, and more as needed! Cleanup bags\, gloves and grabbers will be provided. \nUseful Items to Bring:\n\nFULL reusable water bottle\nClosed-toe shoes (Required. We HIGHLY recommend wearing rain boots! DESCRIPTION:We are teaming up with LISC Jacksonville to collect litter from highly trafficked water-access points on the Ribault River in honor of MLK Day of Service. The Ribault flows into the Trout River\, which flows directly into the St. Johns – the health of these tributaries directly impacts the water quality of the St. Johns River. Cleaning these sites will help us accomplish our goals of equitable resource access for all of Jacksonville’s residents. #ResilientRibault \nRSVP\nWe will be cleaning two sites on Saturday morning: Ribault River Reserve and Harborview Boat Ramp.
