DESCRIPTION:Join St. Johns Riverkeeper for our monthly day of service at the lovely Riverview Park on the Trout River. As Riverview Park’s Official Park Stewards\, this is part of an ongoing effort to improve and maintain this important community resource connecting locals to our river on Jacksonville’s northside. \nVolunteers can expect to collect litter\, clear trails\, catalog and/or remove invasive plants\, and more as needed! Cleanup bags\, gloves and grabbers will be provided. \nUseful Items to Bring:\n\nFULL reusable water bottle\nSun protection (sunscreen\, hat\, sunglasses)\nBug spray\nWork/gardening gloves (cleanup gloves will be provided)\nSmall garden tools (trowels\, shovels\, etc.)\n\nRegister\nPlease register to let us know you’ll be joining us so we can plan accordingly.

SUMMARY:Eco-Heritage Boat Tour
DESCRIPTION:Departing the morning of Thursday\, November 9 from Blue Spring State Park\, St. Johns Riverkeeper’s Fall 2023 Eco-Heritage Boat Tour will take guests on a unique guided experience of the natural and scenic beauty of the St. Johns River’s Middle Basin. \nWe will explore Blue Spring State Park and the St. Johns River\, and hear from experts about the ecology\, wildlife\, and history of the St. Johns River and her tributaries aboard the Blue Springs pontoon boat. Have your camera ready\, because this trip is ideal for viewing and photographing nature! The trip will conclude on the afternoon of Friday\, November 10. \nThis is an incredible way to connect with and learn about the St. Johns River and this amazing ecosystem. \nThe trip includes comfortable accommodations in DeLand on Thursday evening. DESCRIPTION:Join Rising Tides young professionals for our monthly cleanup on McCoys Creek! As always\, all of our cleanups are RAIN or SHINE!  This month we’re cleaning up the land around McCoys Creek at Powers Park (3153 Green St.) from 10 a.m. – noon. \nThis location is navigable by water\, so if you have a canoe/kayak\, feel free to bring it to get the trash in the water we can’t reach from the shore! \nWhat to Bring:\n\nReusable Water Bottle\nHat & Sunglasses\nClosed toe shoes (required)\nRain boots\, work boots\, or waders are extremely helpful!\nOptional: Heavy duty work/gardening gloves (if desired)\nOptional: Extra gardening supplies\nOptional: Canoe/Kayak – this location is navigable by water\n\nCleanup gloves and bags will be provided by City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful. \nRSVP and Sign the Waiver\nRSVP by signing this waiver! \nIf you have any questions\, please contact Rebecca Vecera at rebecca@stjohnsriverkeeper.org.
