We will have grabbers\, gloves and garbage bags ready for the event. \nDepending on the turnout\, we may take a trip down to the Marina and see if we can find more trash by the water. If you would like to turn back early\, please leave your equipment back where we started the event. \nPrior to the event\, we will take a group photo. After we have all returned\, we will bag the trash and weigh it for the day’s total haul. \nJoin us afterwards as we grab lunch at one of the many local restaurants in walking distance. Every other month\, we will host a cleanup here during the first weekend of that month. We may be at different locations in the park each month – this month we will be cleaning up along the boardwalk. \nWhile these cleanups are hosted by Rising Tides\, our Young Professionals Group\, anyone and all ages are welcome to join. \nRSVP\nLet us know you plan to join us\, and sign the waiver in advance!

This grant will provide a permanent source of income for organizations that Mrs. Weaver has generously supported for many years. It is her hope that other individuals will make similar permanent gifts to organizations that have been important to them. This Fund is one of a collection of Funds established by Delores Barr Weaver at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. Mrs. Weaver has an extraordinary legacy of philanthropy\, and she has provided transformative support to dozens of nonprofit organizations that uplift\, enlighten and advance our community. Her establishment of the Delores Barr Weaver Fund ($50 million) in 2012 was the largest gift in The Community Foundation’s history.
