SUMMARY:Art and Nature Walk: Bartram's Edition
DESCRIPTION:Art and Nature Walk: Bartram’s Edition | Saturday\, November 7 | 10 a.m. – Noon | Alpine Groves Park\nFeeling overwhelmed and disconnected? Taking a moment to immerse yourself in nature and tap into your creativity may help! \nWe will be joining folks from Bartram Scenic and Historic Highway to take a step back in time and learn about the travels and observations of William Bartram during his journey along the St. Johns River. We will look at some of his observations and illustrations\, and then go out to make some of our own! \nJoin us at Alpine Groves Park for a leisurely hike and nature journaling exercise. We will lead you down the trail and take a few stops to soak in the nature around us. You don’t have to be a good artist to enjoy nature journaling! The goal is to slow down\, take a breath\, and observe and appreciate the natural systems around us. At the end\, we will compare our observations to those William Bartram made back in his time. \nSupplies\nPlease bring a notebook or journal\, a pencil\, and any other supplies you may want like colored pencils\, crayons\, or markers. Keep in mind you will need to easily carry them on the trail. (Basic supplies will be provided to those who do not have them). \nRSVP\nRegister here for free to reserve your spot!
